Learn and practice elements of street photography, sketch the landscape, and find beauty in the ordinary. Meet local artists and creatives and enjoy an accessible walk around Lords Park in Elgin. Bring your camera or your sketchbook, water, and comfortable walking shoes.

The Elgin Drawing and Art Group is open to any adult interested in drawing, meeting other local artists, and sharing drawing skills and resources. Digital art and craft projects welcome! Meet at gIFFORD PARK, Elgin IL
Join the Current Cloud Media at Gifford Park for the first Elgin Summer Artist Picnic. Bring your picnic baskets, blankets, your drawing pad, camera, journal, current special interest, your bestie, and an item of food or drink to share. Elgin Artist Picnic will meet at Festival Park lawn at the Current Cloud Media Tent. Complimentary Coffee and Tea service will be provided from The Cloudy Coffee Cart. Add Event to Google Calendar.

About Current Cloud Workshops:
Current Cloud Workshops are low pressure, free or low-cost, and loosely structured to maximize conversation and networking. These workshops are generally sober spaces and are open to the public. Workshops are hosted in a safe and accessible environment for people of a variety of abilities. These are artist-lead social groups for adult-artists designed to promote creative community building, skill share, and collaboration.

Before and during workshops complimentary coffee and tea service will be served at The Cloudy Coffee Cart. The coffee cart features coffee pour over coffee and decaf tea options.

Our photowalks are planned around well lit and walkable public areas in Downtown Elgin. We recommend bringing a water bottle and comfortable walking shoes. You are welcome to bring any camera for the photowalk, including film and cameraphones. There is no cost to attend Photowalk.
